Heidi is a daughter to Katie who thor was bred to in the Spring. All the puppies turned out great and there was a variety of colors. Heidi is a light brindle color and has a good pedigree. So we are expecting a variety of colors again. Two of Heidi's littermate's became Senior hunters before the age of 2 years old and 1 of them also JAM'ed a derby and got his first Master pass before he was 2 years old. Thor, a large dark brown Chesapeake Bay Retriever, is our main gun dog for Steen Outfitters, he is one of the few Chesapeakes still used for commercial hunting on the Chesapeake Bay. He trains year round and is involved in many field tests during the off season. At two years old, Thor earned his Working Dog Qualified Certificate (WDQ) from the American Chesapeake Club, his first Master pass, and his Senior title. Right now, Thor holds his AKC Master Hunter title. He finished out his hunt test career in style by passing 4 straight Master Hunt test in a row at 3 years old. Thor is also preparing to compete in some qualifying stakes and dog shows.
