Gracie is Thor's daughter from his first sired litter he sired. She will not be seeing any blind action for a couple years. She is going to concentrate on some hunt tests and trials first. This little girl has tons of go and many natural birding abilities so we have high expectations for her future as a gunning dog.  Gracie finished out her Senior Hunter title at 25 months old.  She also earened her first 2 Senior passes and her WDX title before she was 2 years old.  Since Gracie skipped Junior she needed 5 senior passes and she handled it in style.  Gracie was a very busy little girl in the Spring of 2010.  She ran 6 Senior hunt test, a Derby and a Canine Good Citizen test in 10 weeks.   Right now Gracie is training to run Masters and hopefully Qualify for the 2011 Master National.

WORTHINGTON'S PRINCESS HALEY GAL hips good (CB-8928G34F-PI) eye CERF (CB-5907). Haley is a real sweetheart. She lives on a farm outside Baltimore with her Dam, and 2 of her offspring. All of them have a great temperment and are fun to be around. Haley's sire comes from some local old time Chesapeake Bay hunting stock. The dogs were only bred for one thing and that was to hunt the rough conditions of the Chesapeake Bay. All of the dogs have strong desire to retrieve and please thier owner. Haley has a couple offspring that are hunt test titled.

Introducing Captain Thor's Graie Girl SH, WDX, CGC. Today Gracie passed her 5th and final Senior test for her to earn her Senior Hunter title.

Today at Susquehanna Retriever Club spring hunt test Gracie earned her 4th Senior Pass.  She nailed all 4 of her marks and ran very nice blinds.  Since Gracie skipped Junior she needs one more pass for her senior title.

Sunday Gracie passed her 3rd Senior test at Del Bay Retriever Club 2010 Spring Hunt Test.  After that we headed down to the 5th Annual Mid-Atlantic Chesapeake Bay Retriever Rescue and Relief Picnic and Gracie passed her Canine Good Citizen test. 

Gracie passed her first 2 Senior test on Sat. and Sun.  She was double staked in the double Senior at Rappahannock River Retriever Club 2010 Spring Hunt Test.

Heidi is a daughter to Katie who thor was bred to in the Spring. All the puppies turned out great and there was a variety of colors. Heidi is a light brindle color and has a good pedigree. So we are expecting a variety of colors again. CAPTAIN THOR OF THE CHESAPEAKE MH, WDQ, CGC, MJ-N This weekend Thor earned his AKC Master Hunter title at the Susquehanna Retriever Clubs spring hunt test. Thor finished out his hunt test career in style by passing four straight master tests at the age of three years old. He earned his first master pass and WDQ at the age of two. Thor will now concentrate on field trials and run some qualifing stakes. He will also be entered in some dog shows in hopes to earn his bench Championship. Thor truely is a special dog and I am confident he will be a strong competitor in both of these venues. 3-17-09 Captain thor of the Chesapeake SH,WDQ,CGC. Thor competes in Dock dogs where he consistantly jumps over 20 feet. His best Jump is 23 feet 3 inchs. Thor also won a blue ribbon his first time in a dog show. Thor placed 2nd in the Delaware Ducks Unlimited Retriever challenge and was a finalist for the Maryland Waterfowlers Association Maryland Gundog Championship.

North Elk Classic Katie Lyn (CH Sako MH *** X Classic Melody of Mojave) Katie is a real Sweetheart. This will be Katie's second litter. Her last litter she produced 2 Senior Hunters. One was trained and handled by a 15 year old kid and the other JAMed a derby and earned his SH before he turned 2 and also passed his first master test 1 week after turning 2 years old. Katie's dad Sako had over 20 all age points. 40 chesapeakes earned thier SH in 2008. 1 was Thor and Katie was the mother of 2 others. Thor was just pictured in Ducks Unlimited magazine. He is in the Marh/April issue on page 43. The article is titled "The Ideal Retriever" Here is the original picture. The photo was taken by Scott Moody of Labrador Design.

Thor had a good month in August. He compteted in Dock Dogs and the Ducks Unlimited Retriever Challenge. The first weekend in August, Thor competed in Dock Dogs at the Harford County Farm Fair. It was his first time ever competing in this event and he did his usual good job. He earned his Master Jump National (MJ-N) title and also placed first in the semi-pro division with his best jump being 21'2". A couple weeks later, Thor and Rosie competed at another dock dogs event and the Delware Ducks Unlimited Retriever Challenge sponsored by Delmar Waterfowl Club. Justin, my 8 year old nephew, ran Rosie on both events and they did well. Rosie and Justin earned 4th place in the novice division. Thor had his biggest jump ever 23'3" but it was only good for 3rd place in the finals. Thor really made his mark on the retriever challenge where he placed 2nd. The first series was a land water series with a triple mark and a remote send. The second series was also land and water with a double blind and double mark. Captain Thor of the Chesapeake SH : Hips Excellent (CB-8929E29M-PI), Eye CERF in 07 and 08(CB-5905), Elbows Normal (CB-EL1291M29-PI), PRA Clear Optigen, EIC Clear. Thor is a tall leggy Chessie. His shoulders are about 27 inchs high and he weighs about 85 lbs. At the young age of 2 years old he has already earned Senior Title, was a finalist in the Maryland gundog Championship, and placed 3rd in a upland Chukar challange. Right now he running in master test. Thor is also my personal hunting dog and I also use him for my commercial waterfowl guiding buisness on the Chesapeake Bay. He has retrieved close to 500 birds everything from geese and ducks to phesants and chukars. He has a great temperment around people, kids, and other dogs. This year he hunted with atleast 10 other retrievers from pointing labs to other Chesapeakes.

Thor and I traveled to Virginia to run in the Tidewater Retriever Club Spring hunt test. I entered Thor in Senior and Master. He passed Senior and earned his Senior Hunter title. But he went out in Masters on a "big dog" water blind in the second series. I was very happy with his performance over the weekend. He nailed all of his marks, one triple and 2 doubles. He also lined one of the blinds.
